If your XTOP device shows "Boot Mode", it means the OS has been erased.
To recover the device, you need to re-install the V4.8 OS.
Why This Happens:
The most common cause is an interrupted OS upgrade.
If the XTOP device is running OS version V2.4 or V3.1, attempting to transfer a project using XDesignerPlus V4.8 will prompt a message: [Would you like to start the OS upgrade program?].
Clicking [OK] will begin the upgrade process.
The OS upgrade process includes transferring the following files in order:
1. Boot File
2. Font File
3. OS File
After the Boot File is sent, the XTOP automatically reboots.
At this point, some users mistakenly think the upgrade is complete.
However, if only the Boot File is transferred, the device screen remains in Boot Mode.
How to Fix It:
1. Open XDesignerPlus V4.8
2. Go to [Transfer] - [OS Upgrade] menu
3. Continue the upgrade by sending the [Font File] to the [OS File]
Once the upgrade is successfully completed:
- The touch calibration screen will appear.
- After calibration, the main menu screen will be displayed.
You can then proceed to transfer your project file to the device.
